Showroom Situations Facebook Competition
Before you enter, please read carefully these Terms & Conditions. Firstly, here are some definitions we use:
“Promoter” | Motors.co.uk Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales with its registered office at 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX, UK |
“Competition” | This competition, ‘Showroom Situations’ |
“Competition Period” | From 7:00 AM on Friday 26th April to 5:00 PM on Friday 10th May. UK time. |
“Eligible Entrants” | All users who have been accepted as members of the ‘Car Sales / Dealer Groups’ (CSDG) Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/12419974825380, who are UK residents aged 18 years or older and who comply with these Terms & Conditions are eligible |
“Privacy Notice” | The privacy notice at https://dealer.motors.co.uk/privacy-notice/ |
“Terms of Use” | The terms of use at https://dealer.motors.co.uk/terms-of-use/ |
“Valid Entries’ | Entries by Eligible Entrants that are manually submitted and answer the question set out below: What is your best celebrity appearance in the showroom? |
What is it?
Promoter is running the Competition which invites Eligible Entrants to provide their personal insights into questions about showroom situations that they may have encountered while working at a car dealership.
When is it?
The Competition will be held during the Competition Period. Any entries received outside of the Competition Period will not be considered.
Who can enter?
The Competition is open only to Eligible Entrants.
Only one entry per Eligible Entrant is permitted. Any further entries will not be counted.
All employees (and their families) of Promoter, its affiliates or subsidiary companies, any representatives or agents of those companies and anyone else who may be professionally involved with the Competition cannot enter the Competition.
The prize
One £50 department store voucher will be awarded to one valid Entry randomly selected in the prize draw. (“Prize”). Separate terms for voucher redemption may apply. An alternative prize(s) may be awarded by the Promoter that is a reasonable equivalent.
The name of the winner and, where applicable, the relevant winning entry will be announced on the CSDG Facebook Page using the username provided.
The winner will be contacted via private message on Facebook within 14 days from the end of the Competition Period to be informed they have won the Prize and to arrange delivery of the prize. Eligible Entrants are responsible for ensuring that they can be contacted via their Facebook account.
If Promoter or its authorised agents are not able to contact the winner by midnight (UK time) 5 days after the first attempted notification, Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner and the original winner’s entitlement will lapse.
What’s excluded?
The following will not be Valid Entries:
- Any entries which do not comply with Promoter’s Terms of Use
- Any entries from a professional account
- Any entries submitted through professional or automated tools, including but not limited to, API feeds
General
Promoter, in its sole discretion, reserves the rights to:
- suspend, change or cancel the Competition at any time, in the event of circumstances arising which make it necessary for it to do so;
- add additional terms to the Competition;
- exclude users on the basis that it believes that they do not respect its Terms of Use or that their entries are not of the requisite standard; and/or
- verify the eligibility of entrants.
Any decision of Promoter regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering the Competition, all entrants irrevocably grant Promoter permission to use their name and image for advertising, promotional or publicity purposes.
These Terms & Conditions and the Competition are governed by English law. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the Terms of Use and these Terms & Conditions will prevail to the extent of any conflict.
This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or voucher supplier.
Promoter shall not be liable, in contract or tort (including, but not limited to, negligence) or breach of statutory duty or in any other way for the loss or damage howsoever arising suffered by an entrant resulting directly or indirectly from entering the Competition. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions shall limit Promoter’s liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
Promoter does not accept, and is not responsible for, any lost or delayed entries. Promoter reminds entrants of the nature and limitations of the Internet and is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software that may affect entry to the Competition.
Although Promoter will use reasonable efforts to ensure that all information relating to the Competition (“Competition Material”) is accurate, Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software failure that may affect Promoter’s operation of the Competition or the site, including without limitation the accuracy of any Competition Material.
Promoter may use third parties to facilitate one or more elements of the Competition and Promoter may provide some of your personally identifiable information to them. These third party service providers are subject to confidentiality agreements with Promoter and other legal restrictions that prohibit the use of the information we provide them for any other purpose except to facilitate the specific outsourced Promoter related operation.
