Our story

MOTORS was originally launched as Motors.co.uk in 2007 as a website for car buyers by the Daily Mail & General Trust and, after a period of rapid growth, was acquired by Cox Automotive in 2010.

Twelve years later, Motors.co.uk was sold to Gumtree, which was then acquired in 2021 by O3 Industries and Novum Capital.

On June 28th, 2024, MOTORS acquired the Cazoo brand name to launch a used car marketplace app designed to benefit UK car buyers and dealers.

Our offices, based in Richmond, Surrey, and Abingdon, Oxfordshire, are home to a talented team of over 250 co-workers.
