eBay Motors Group joins with [M]enable to launch Wellbeing Winners accreditation scheme for all dealerships

eBay Motors Group and [M]enable have joined forces to launch Wellbeing Winners, a new accreditation scheme to improve the mental wealth of employees in car retailers across the UK.

The scheme champions a greater focus on workplace wellbeing for employees across all disciplines in car dealerships through clearly defined processes and procedures. This will enable dealers to achieve gold, silver or bronze Wellbeing Winners ratings, enhancing their cultures and creating more attractive employers with better working environments.

The programme, created by [M]enable, the automotive sector’s dedicated workplace wellbeing body, will assess participating dealerships across five key areas of their operations: business landscape (including staffing levels, stress related sick days and attrition rates), people, workplace, culture and processes.

Dealer sites interested in joining the scheme can start with a free 20-minute consultation before enrolling on a 12-month programme that begins with a 90-minute initial assessment with follow-ups, action plans and the opportunity to interact with other dealers at similar stages.

All eBay Motors Group dealer customers qualify for a 20% discount. Also, each month dealers employing fewer than 10 staff will be entered into a draw to win a free 90-minute initial assessment.

“[M]enable was set up to shine a light on the need to improve wellbeing in the automotive retailing sector which is why we’re thrilled to be working with eBay Motors Group to deliver Wellbeing Winners,” said Stephen Whitton, founder and CEO of [M]enable.

“We think Wellbeing Winners has the potential to become a nationally recognised kitemark for our industry showing just how seriously dealers address the wellbeing and mental ‘wealth’ of their staff and, in so doing, prove they are great employers to work for.

“Our processes will be rigorous but participating dealerships will be rewarded with practical action plans which will benefit their businesses. We’ll also be showing them how to progress through bronze and silver to gold,” said Whitton.

Commenting on the partnership, Barry Judge, CEO of eBay Motors Group, said: “We’re delighted to be working with [M]enable to support the Wellbeing Winners programme. We believe this bold initiative will resonate with dealers of all sizes by helping them address workplace wellbeing, at site level.

“The scheme will provide dealer principals and general managers with the tools to measure their business’ performance, help them identify where improvements can be made and be part of an industry-wide accreditation scheme. It’s all about looking after and retaining people, while also attracting new talent from inside and outside of the automotive sector by showing them every aspect of their mental wealth and wellbeing is valued.”
